Great Firewall Articles, On Online Girlfriends

Posted by James Breen at 23 May 2008 15:46

This internet dating seems stereotypical. Read and think about it carefully. Once finished, I feel you will agree that is not.

Aside from this, all things I known have been centered together and given a new picture. I believe that is fabulous, you should read it:

Great interview today on VentureBeat, featuring Chinese blogger Isaac Mao. Definitely a must read. Isaac is a very interesting guy and good friend who's on the forefront of much internet-related issues in China. And some interesting stuff over on Rebecca MacKinnon's blog (and Wired) about Cisco and their involvement in the GFW dating back to at least ..[more].

Even though it comes from another planet far, far away, (that's kidding) and even tough it is different, strange and a little freaky, they deserve respect and understanding just like all of articles on Internet, because it is totally amazing new idea of internet dating.

My online girlfriend is hotter than your online girlfriend Here's a shocker, "Web dating can be disappointing." No, this isn't the latest article penned by KABC's Rick Romero, it's a story that was published this morning by News.com.au, which I imagine is the Australian equivalent of (insert name of shitty American newswire). Lucky for us, we're learning about this phenomenon now, and not a decade ago, when it might have actually been relevant. It begins, "Internet daters beware -- witty .. Read the rest of this entry.

It is just getting started:

The Internet is a nuisance. Really, it is. It never ceases to amaze me how much "trouble" the Internet causes.  Now I will be the first to say that it is possibly the best innovation in human history. Nevertheless at the same time, it has also caused more problems, headaches, and heartaches than almost any innovation that I can think about. And it continues to redefine everything we do as a society and a race I know this is really not news, but it just struck me when I was poking around the news this ..next.

All too often people sharing with each other good posts are inclined to say 'it is too easy to live together.'

People file for bankruptcy because they're in debt. The more debt there is, the more bankruptcies there are. Well, duh! It really is that simple. When compared to the level of borrowing, the rate of bankruptcy has remained fairly steady. In 1977, 74 bankruptcies were filed for every $100 million of consumer debt. In 1997, 73 bankruptcies were filed for every $100 million of consumer debt. Bankruptcy isn't the cause of debt but rather is the result. And it isn't the disease but rather is one of the cures. Restricting access to bankruptcy court won't solve the problem of debt any more than closing the hospitals will cure a plague.
